BLAIR CARGILL
EDITH COOK
Edith is a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music. She was awarded the Lady Mayoress's
Prize for piano while studying there and has an ARCM in piano teaching.She runs a successful
piano teaching practice in Forres since retiring from music teaching in schools and has many
years' experience as an accompanist in the Moray area.
ROBERT HOWIE
Bob studied Music at Aberdeen University graduating with an MA Hons degree in Music in
1958. After teaching class music in schools for five years, he was appointed lecturer in
Music at Northern College (now Aberdeen University). He retired from this post in 1993, but
is still teaching piano part-time at Aberdeen University and at the music school at Dyce
Academy. Bob has been involved with the Moray Music Festival for many years.
FRANK THOMSON
An accomplished accordionist, Frank has played for Scottish Country Dancing for many years.
He plays regularly for classes at the Aberdeen Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance
Society and during the annual Society's Summer School at St Andrews.
Frank has his own band in Aberdeen and performs at home and abroad, and his musical
accolades include playing for members of the Royal Family when they are in residence at
Balmoral or at Birkhall.
